The Kingdom of God!

Chapter 47

.

What I am about to share with you will change your life if you are willing to except truth over facts! I pray Lord that you will open the hearts and minds of those who read this Eagle's View today and I pray that you will create in them a hunger to know the truth!

How many of you believe that Jesus shed all of His blood? What that means is that there is no more blood that needs to be shed. Do you believe that He has forgiven all sins? Do you believe that when He said, "It is finished!", He meant that it is not quite done yet? I've got to do a little more work on you! I've got to heal you some more! I need to sacrifice some more! ???

How many of you believe that when He said, "It is finished," it was finished? If you will do what I am about to ask you, it will change your life!

The word of God says, In Him dwelleth all of the fulness of the God Head bodily! Paul said in Col. 2:9-10,

"For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. And you are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power!"

You are complete in Him! What does this mean? It means that you are perfect! Do you believe that you are perfect? Jesus said in Matt. 5:48,

"Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect!"

The world will tell you that no one is perfect and most of the Church will agree with them. When He said, "Be thou perfect!" He wasn't saying I wish you were or that I hope you will be!He said, 'Be perfect!'Let that reverberate in your thinking! Say out loud with me, "I am perfect!" Say it again, "I am perfect!" Jesus didn'" say, "Work so you can be perfect!"'What He means is that you are perfect! I can hear the wheels of what you have been taught, turning!

Let's go to Genesis 1:3, which says,

"And God said, "Let there be light," and there was light.

When Jesus said, "Be perfect!" it was a command with the authority to create! He declared to us, "Be perfect!"

Let me try to make my point another way. Is He in you? Yes, because Paul said in Col. 1:27,

"To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory!"

Do you believe that Christ is in you? Do you believe the work is finished and the work is in you? Do you believe His blood was completely shed? Do you believe that every sin has already been forgiven? Do you believe that everything the Lord is going to do for you He has already done?

If you believe these things, here is what is going to change your life, however, because of what you have been taught in the past, this is going to be hard for you to receive. Everything will fight you! The key is that you have to make a resolute decision to accept the truth.

You must begin to tell yourself, "I am perfect and everything else in my life is going to have to rise up to it!'

Listen, since He is in me and I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus and He has finished the work and I am complete and I am perfect in Him, therefore I am perfect and everything else in my life is going to have to rise up to it!

Because, here is the other choice. If you don't believe that, it means that you are going to have to be perfect! And you will have to work to be righteous because it means that when He said it is finished, it was not completely finished, but that is not true.

Are you the righteousness of God? Here is something I have been trying to get believers to understand for a long time. Are you still a sinner, saved by grace? If you are a sinner, you need to receive Jesus! Paul said in 2 Cor. 5:17,

"Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new."

If you are in Christ, you are a new creation! Do you believe that? Christ is the plumbline or the standard by which we can measure ourselves. Therefore, if I am in Him and He is in me, I am perfect! The strength of my perfection is stronger than any of my imperfections! John said in 1 John 4:4,

"You are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.'

The greater one is living within me and therefore, He is greater than any of my imperfections and His blood cleanses me from all sin. All of my weakness, must submit to my perfection.

Let me ask you another way. Before you answer this one, think about what I am about to ask you! What is more powerful, truth or fact? What sets you free? Truth or fact? The fact is we are weak. The truth is we are perfect! The fact is that we fall short. The truth is we are perfect because we are in Christ and He is perfect! The fact is sometimes I fail. But the truth is I have been set free!

The fact is, sometimes I might sin. But the truth is I have been delivered, washed by the blood of Jesus, and I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. I lack in nothing!

So where are you going to put your faith. In the truth or in the facts? What sets you free, the facts or the truth? Jesus answered this question for us in John 8:32,

"And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."

So, if you are going to fill your mind with what is wrong with you and all the mistakes you have had in your life, it means that the work of Christ is not finished! However, I can prove that His work was finished.

Is Jesus the last Adam? That is what Paul said in Rom. 4:19, (NIV)

'For, just as through the disobedience of the one man (Adam) the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one man (Jesus) the many will be made righteous.'

The truth is that Jesus is the last Adam, because He paid the price to redeem us in full.

I have for years been telling Christians that the truth is, we are no longer sinners and we are not sinners saved by grace! We are the children of God and we have been redeemed by the blood of the Lamb!

The reason we have trouble understanding this is because we don't know who we really are! We have been taught that our spirit and our soul are the same thing! However, Heb. 4:12 says, (NIV)

"For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.'

The gospel that Jesus taught, nowhere, talks about the saving of one's spirit! Think about that! It talks about the saving of the soul! Then, what is the difference between the spirit and the soul? The spirit never dies! When you leave your body, your spirit goes back to be with God and you stand before Him and are judged by what you have done while here on this earth in bodily form. Paul said in 1 Cor. 3:13-15,

'Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is. If any man's work abides which he has built upon, he shall receive a reward. If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire."

What then is the difference between the spirit and the soul? The spirit is what has given you the power to live! Jesus said in John 6:63,

'The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing.'

When the Lord created Adam from the dust of the ground, He breathed into him the breath of life and Adam became a living soul! God breathed into him his spirit and as a result of his spirit being united with his new body, he became a living soul. What then, is a soul?

The soul is the result of a spirit being united with flesh. When this occurs, the soul comes alive and the result is a living person. The soul is made up of the mind, will and emotions. This allows the spirit to be seen in this world. The body without the spirit is dead. The soul without the spirit is dead. In order for the soul to be saved, it must be born again. This happens when the soul acknowledges that Jesus is Lord and He paid the price for our salvation. When our mind, will and emotions, confesses this with our mouth, we are born again.

Paul said in Rom. 10:8-10,

"The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart" (that is, the word of faith which we preach): that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."

Paul also said in Rom. 12:2,

"Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God."

The saving of our soul is a lifetime process. The is why Paul said in Phil. 2:12-13, (NIV)

"Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed, not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence, continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose."

We don't have to do this by ourselves! The Spirit of the Lord works within us to have the desire to do the things of the Lord and to do the things that pleasures Him. Our spirit is saved by what Jesus did on the cross and our soul is being changed from glory to glory as we are obedient to His Spirit's leadership in our lives.

I know that I have given you strong meat from the Word of God. You can ignore what I have shared with you, you can agree with what I have shared or you can deny what I have shared with you! Your choice! If you agree with what the word has to say about who you are and allow the Holy Spirit to change your way of thinking, it will change your life!

If you agree with the word of God and do nothing about it, you will not be changed, but will continue to confess something that is not the truth. I encourage you to not just lay down this message, but to meditate on it and read it every day until it becomes a part of your knowledge of the truth!
